Our Compact Composition Training is the most comprehensive program of our training. It provides you with all the fundamentals you need to start your career as a composer. All of our minor courses are designed exclusively to help you compose, inspire you in the process, and lead you to better writing results. While many state composition programs are offered in classical music or jazz, this compact course offers a general foundation that is cross-stylistic and applicable to all styles. In addition to subjects such as harmony, form, instrumentation, etc... notation with computer-based programs and pencil is also taught. Also the handling of sample based music programs is taught in order to be able to make smaller pre-productions of the own pieces. Also taught is the independent work after the training and analysis of various musical aspects to be able after the compact training composition also in the position of commissioned work to capture the essence of the desired music itself. In addition, there are insights into different sound bodies such as orchestra, big band, smaller different instrumentations as well as different musical styles from classical to jazz, rock, pop, electronic music, jingles, world music, film scoring, etc.

I have now almost completed my first year of music studies with Dr. Matejko (which I consider a success), and I am glad that I chose Dr. Matejko for this major project of mine via the internet. I have already completed four different degrees in my life – my second being a university-level vocational education degree - and have been working as a self-employed lecturer for 27 years. The music doctor, therefore, had a colleague with a keen eye for vocational pedagogy on board from the very beginning. While it hardly needs emphasizing that Dr. Matejko is simply a music professional after his many successful years, I'm happy to do so anyway. Our interactions were very respectful. He gradually adapted the process and methods to my existing or lacking prior knowledge. The set goals were achieved throughout the year, according to my personal abilities. However, I'd like to share another observation: After six hours of intensive practice every month—struggling to find the right note, taking turns suggesting chord progressions, and listening and developing each other in a spirit of mutual understanding—I embarked on my four- to five-hour journey back to Thüringen without feeling tired. I was so energized that the next day I spent hours working on the pieces, completing my homework, and I was truly in my element. In today's age of destruction and lies, I was always able to "come home," create something new, and gradually develop abilities that had lain dormant within me - melodies, sounds, feelings, music. Thank you, Dr. Matejko.”

The compact training composition course covers topics such as writing meaningful melodies, the necessary harmonic knowledge, and essential instrumental skills. Students progress step-by-step from solo pieces to larger ensembles. The curriculum is well-structured, ensuring that students learn exactly what they need. Mr. Matejko consistently provides objective and constructive feedback on the students' own compositions presented in the main course. The lessons offer me an environment where my musical development is actively fostered.”
